Um... [Well there's the whole moving in together suggestion she made yesterday. That's something else they didn't really adequately cover. They didn't even ask Kokichi if he'd want to do it. But...does he want to bring that up right this second?]

[That's still just...such a huge step, even with as much time as Kaede spends in his room.]

[She hums quietly and leans in, wrapping her arms around him for a hug and nuzzling her nose against his cheek affectionately. Maybe that's a lot to ask, having him admit he wants to... eat her out, on top of the other stuff they'd talked about. Yeah, she won't push him to keep talking about the cards. They're at a good point to start.]

Um... have you thought about what I said yesterday? [she asks finally, keeping her nose pressed against his cheek.] About... getting a place together? Even if it's just the two of us, we could still put the extra money aside for Oma-kun.

[She must really be set on it, to bring it up again so soon. And the fact that this time she didn't open with "maybe the three of us could get a place together" makes him think that, maybe, it wasn't helping Kokichi that had prompted this. She must just be ready to take that step already.]

[Which...isn't all that surprising, really. Kaede isn't exactly a model of patience. She doesn't dip her toes in the pool, she just dives right in.]

Mmm...not much. I thought about it a little bit while I was waiting for the two of you to finish talking, but after that...

And maybe it is a big step -- or it would be, normally. If they were at home, and things were normal, she wouldn't even dream of it. They're still high school students, after all! But they're dead, or narrowly-saved, or something, and there just doesn't seem a reason to hesitate. Not when they've gone so far together already.

She hums quietly, pressing her lips briefly to his cheek.]

Mmm... yeah. We could have more space, and some places have kitchens, and Oma-kun could come hang out with us more easily... if we're really going to be here for a long time, we really should get a place with at least more than one room, don't you think?

Of course...I didn't think we'd stay in these cabins forever. [Especially not Kaede, given her spending habits. At the very least, she needs somewhere with a bigger closet.] I just...didn't think we'd be discussing the possibility so soon.

[Of course he didn't. Because if left to his own devices, Shuichi moves at the pace of a half frozen snail.]

Um...sort of. Though I suppose the reality of the situation is...that it's really not, considering...everything else we've done together already.
