He's staying completely silent, and once he's in the right spot, he starts pulling something out of his bag and affixing it to the ceiling. If Minato continues watching, he'll probably eventually realize it's that fake spider webbing you see sold around Halloween, or something similar to it, and it's indeed being crafted into a web. One that has what can only be spiders hanging from them eventually, low enough that Kaede will surely sit up into them when she wakes up... Stage one of his plan is going perfectly!!]
[ Is this spider kid putting webs up? Is that what they're doing? And does Minato really want to be involved?

Well no obviously not! But Kaede's probably gonna yell a lot when she wakes up to all those webs around and that sounds annoying, so with another sigh he sits up and gives a lazy wave to catch the intruder's attention. He hopes that's enough to get them to explain what they're doing. ]
[ He watches this kid crawl along the ceiling like the spirit from The Ring and sit on the edge of his bed. Well, that's close enough to teleporting around the bedroom he guesses. ]
And what are you.
[ He's not exactly loud but he also doesn't particularly give a shit about waking Kaede up with his voice. ]
I'm just a harmless prankster who owes Akamatsu-chan a fun surprise!
[He holds his bag open for Minato to inspect. It's just full of a bunch of fake plastic bugs. They look real enough that they'll probably spook the sleeping pianist when she wakes up, but they're still pretty clearly fake to anyone who isn't sleep hazy.]
[ He pokes at the bugs. They're like those "gross out your sister" toys that he's seen advertised on TV sometimes. Kaede is definitely going to be upset. Does this guy have some kind of spell that can animate them? God he hopes not. ]
They're not gonna eat us or anything stupid like that?
No way! Akamatsu-chan is a dear friend of mine, I don't want to kill her. She's just mean and deserves a little meanness in return.
[He's just a useless rogue, don't worry. The coolest thing he can do is walk on walls.]
Plus, it's not a prank if someone ends up dead. They're just gonna sit on her while she's sleeping being creepy and spook her a little when she wakes up.
[ That's a lot more words than necessary to say "no." Anyway, this sounds like some kind of friend dispute thing, which means he wants to get in the middle of it even less. And he definitely doesn't want to be around when Kaede wakes up, whether from the webs and bugs or from this guy falling on her trying to set it up. So with another tired sigh, he climbs out of bed and gathers his things: his school bag and some dog slippers to walk around the base in. He's not sticking around for this. ]
[When you're a liar, you're used to having to over explain. He's quiet as Minato collects his things, watching him move.]

[And with that he gets back up, making his way carefully back to Kaede's bed. He's going to start oh so carefully placing the bugs on her bed, one by one. If this guy is getting ready to leave then it's probably safe to get back to work.]
[Kaede bought those slippers for him! That's why they're so cute.
In any case, their conversation was quiet enough that it had started to just filter into what she assumed was a dream, but it was starting to wake her up. It's not until Kokichi's back to work and Minato closes the door behind him to leave that she actually stirs.]
Huh...? Arisato-kun? [Did Minato leave... it's still nighttime, isn't it? It takes her a second to blearily blink her eyes open, not quite totally aware of her surroundings.]
[Damn you Minato. It's all your fault that she's waking up here. Kokichi freezes for a moment as she stirs, glancing at her face to see if she's actually a wake or if she just moved in her sleep. But ah, no, she's awake.
He grins, placing the bug in his hand down and going for another. He's. Apparently going to keep working???]
Akamatsu-chan should go back to sleep! It's not good to wake up in a nightmare. If you do that, you'll be trapped for a thousand years in hell!
[Maybe if he talks like it's a dream, she'll go back to sleep. Probably not though.]
[Why is she having a dream about Kokichi? She blinks a few more times, opening her mouth to yawn -- and then a stray piece of webbing gets sucked into her mouth.]

[Her eyes snap open, and she sits bolt-upright as she grabs at whatever's fallen into her mouth. Of course, that just means her hands and arms pass through more spider-webbing, and she screams, flailing her arms frantically.]
[Why wouldn't you? He's handsome, dashing, charming, charismatic...who else would you dream of if not him?
He tries to stop her from sitting up, if only to give the "go back to sleep" attempt one more good try, but he's unable to. Ah well...he sits back instead, letting her flail and scream, bursting out laughing. It's not the full reaction, not nearly enough plastic bugs on her or her bed, but whatever. It's still pretty funny, and feels just a bit satisfying.]
[She can hear laughing, and she can hear that it's not Minato. Minato doesn't laugh like that!! His laughs are much more subtle and cute!!]
Oma-kun!!
[She lunges out of bed, still flailing in spiderwebs and screaming again as her fingers come in contact with a "bug." She slaps at it, then waves a hand, using Prestidigitation to light all the candles in the room in one fell swoop.]
[And he's on his back, clutching his sides, still laughing. Okay, this wasn't too bad of a reaction at all in the end. Prank was mostly a success and he got to see the reaction in real time instead of just trying to listen in when she inevitably complained to someone about it. Or get yelled at when he inevitably became the suspected culprit.
[He snickers, managing to catch the last of what she says and giving her a wicked grin.]

[There are cobwebs in her hair!! She can't decide what to do first, pick up all the little bugs or get all the cobwebs off. She decides getting the webs will probably pick up the bugs, too, so she's got her fingers in her hair to try picking it out when he answers.
And she just pauses, incredulously staring.]
W-what?! This is because of Erika-san's butterfly?!
How could you forget?! You made me relive all of my deep, horrible childhood trauma of nearly being eaten in a butterfly exhibit! I'll have nightmares for years now! This is the very least I could do to get revenge!
[That has to be a lie, right?! But also, what if it's not... she balls up more webbing and just kind of half-heartedly tosses it toward Minato's bed. Where the other boy should be... he's going to be in so much trouble when she sees him again.]
Aaaah, jeez!!! You didn't have to go through this much trouble, you know! But... I'm sorry.
[Shoulda stayed and dealt with the prank consequences instead Minato.
Kokichi puffs out his cheeks a little, crossing his arms, and almost seems like he's not going to budge.]
Well it was either that or throwing you in an exhibit full of man eating butterflies, but I don't want my friends to die. So this was the next best thing!
