[Kaede isn't much for leaving gifts. She's been incredibly busy running around between the moon base and New New Aspen, making sure she's gotten to give her gifts personally. It's exhausting, but seeing the smiles on people's faces makes it all worth it. At least, that's what she tells herself. Her feet are starting to hurt from all this running around!
Close to one of the food tables is where Kaede finally spots Sayori, and she makes a beeline toward the other girl, shrugging off her backpack on the way.]
Sayori-san, I got your present! I love it, it's so thoughtful!! I have something for you, you'll let me give it to you now, right?
[She's already reaching right into her backpack. It's Santa time.]
[That is the sound of Sayori's inquisitive hum through cheeks absolutely stuffed with sweet food. Her eyes widen in excitement as Kaede approaches and she forces down this mouthful so that she can talk, grinning but already flushed at the idea of receiving a gift in return.] Aah, Kaede, you didn't have to!!
[Still, she's wiping her hands on a napkin so that she does not make a mess of whatever this generous gift is going to be.]
[She giggles. Sayori is so cute? Kind of gross when she eats, but like, in a cute way. Kaede can't resist reaching out and poking her cheek with one finger.]
I did though! I wanted to give presents to all my friends, so... here!! You have to open it now though, okay? It's not rude or anything!
[She finally finds what she's looking for and rests her backpack on the ground between her feet so she can offer the wrapped gift in both hands. It's soft, bending to the touch, and if Sayori listens to Kaede and opens it immediately, she'll find a leather-bound journal, clearly something that's been purchased here on Faerun instead of at Fantasy Costco. On the inside cover is a... poem...? In the loosest sense of the word.
Roses are red, and Christmas lights too I don't know how to write poems But I know you sure do!!
